Master's and Doctoral Program
The aim of our Industrial Engineering Graduate Programs is to provide our students with the fundamental knowledge necessary at the graduate level, to develop the ability to conduct research and development using this knowledge, to introduce the latest developments in the field of Industrial Engineering, and to conduct research on these topics.
Our department's graduate education consists of Master's and Doctoral Programs. Below, you can find the areas of specialization that the programs focus on.
AREAS OF SPECIALIZATION
Research in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Abdullah Gül University focuses on understanding current problems, developing models and solution methods, and providing decision support in the production and service industries and large-scale socio-technical systems. The department offers a strong foundation in modeling and optimization, simulation, and probability/statistics. Students have the opportunity to specialize in the following three interdisciplinary focus areas on top of this foundation:
Sustainability: Producing products and services using processes that do not cause environmental pollution, conserve natural resources and energy, are economically viable, and are safe and healthy for workers, society, and consumers.
Disaster Management: Providing analysis, modeling, and scientific decision support in the management of natural and man-made disasters (e.g., earthquakes, landslides, and terrorism) to contribute to the resilience of governments, organizations, and companies.
Health Systems: Improving efficiency, productivity, and patient access in health systems by developing tools, methodologies, and protocols that ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and cost-effective healthcare with improved outcomes.
