What is a Special Student? What rights can I have as a Special Student?
Students enrolled in a master's, doctoral or art proficiency program may be accepted as special students with the approval of the department presidency, where they are enrolled in graduate courses at other higher education institutions. Those who take courses with the status of special students cannot benefit from their student rights. These students are not given diplomas or certificates, but they are given a document showing the courses they have enrolled in and the grades they have received. Regarding the admission of special students, the provisions of the relevant legislation and the principles determined by the Senate are applied.
How long can I take classes as a Special Student?
Special studentship is not an education aimed at obtaining a degree directly in the relevant program, and its duration cannot exceed two semesters.
Can I have the courses I took as a Special Student counted towards the graduate course load at AGU later?
In the six semesters following the period in which he took courses as a special student, the courses achieved by special students who managed to enter the University's graduate program can be considered valid for the program they follow with the recommendation of the department's presidency and the approval of the Institute's Board of Directors. However, a maximum of 3 courses can be counted from the courses taken as special students to the course load required for graduation from the graduate program.

1- English Language Proficiency Exams: KPDS, UDS, YDS (from any of them) to have received at least 63 points, TOEFL exam to have received at least IBT 76, PTE 62 points.
2- In order to take a course as a Special Student, at least one AGU student must be registered in the course to be selected. Classes cannot be opened only for special students.
3-English language requirement is not required for candidates who have graduated from programs that provide 100% English education in the last 4 semesters.
4- From research assistants or lecturers working at other state universities or special universities, from those who want to take courses from graduate programs opened within the Institute, 50% of the fees determined for special studentship are charged.
5- How many courses and how many credits the applicant candidates can take are determined and approved by the department presidency. Special studentship is not an education aimed at obtaining a degree directly in the relevant program and its duration cannot exceed two semesters.

7- Students who have determined their advisor to work in the graduate program at AGU, who aim to be a graduate student in our university's graduate programs, especially in doctoral programs, are exempt from fees applied to special students. In this case, the approval letter of the student's advisor who will work at AGU is requested.
