Abdullah Gül University (AGU), with its vision of becoming a research-oriented university, considers graduate education as a strategic priority. With its interdisciplinary academic structure and modern research laboratories, it provides a strong foundation for advanced research at the master’s level.
The AGU Mechanical Engineering Master’s Program, supported by an academic staff experienced in national and international projects, aims to conduct studies that generate added value in both academia and industry. Within the program, students gain the competence to develop innovative solutions to engineering problems, while university–industry collaboration is effectively supported through industry-integrated projects.
The research areas of the program cover both fundamental and contemporary topics of mechanical engineering, including energy systems, heat and fluids, solid mechanics, materials science, manufacturing technologies, mechatronic systems, and thermodynamics. Research in these fields is funded by TÜBİTAK, BAP, European Union projects, and private sector-supported initiatives.
Graduate students are encouraged to actively participate in research projects and may also work as full-time research assistants. In addition to developing scientific thinking skills, students gain competencies in project management and engineering applications.
The AGU Mechanical Engineering Master’s Program aims to become one of Turkey’s leading engineering programs by bringing together qualified students with faculty members who are highly competent, research-oriented, and open to innovation.
GRADUATE PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL (Learning and Teaching) OBJECTIVES
The Mechanical Engineering Master’s Program aims to equip students with the ability to combine fundamental engineering knowledge with advanced analysis and application skills. Within the program, students:
-
Acquire in-depth knowledge in areas such as energy systems, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, materials, and manufacturing technologies, thereby gaining the competence to conduct research and development activities in both industry and academia,
-
Participate in interdisciplinary projects and develop creative and innovative solutions to engineering problems,
-
Keep up with current technological developments in their fields and contribute to the literature through scientific publications and original research.
